01-06 Fender flares
Has anyone tried to take off cutout flares and replace them with stock flares ? I bought a truck that has cutout flares and I am not really into them . I'd like to put a set of stock ones on but I am curious if the stock ones will cover the bolt holes from the cutouts. Any help would be greatly appreciated. BTW the truck is a 2001 gmc Sierra 2500hd with the big 8.1 and Allison.

Re: 01-06 Fender flares
How much of the fender do the cut out flares cover? Are they real cut out flares(the fender was cut to allow bigger tires) or are they just made to look like cut out flares?
The OE fender flare is attached to the fender by clips in the fender lip. If that part of the fender was cut, you won' have a place to attach the OE style flare. The factory fender flare is about 1/2" short of the wheel arch stamped into the fender. Can you post pics of your current flares? |

Thanks for the info . Previous said they were cut outs but they don't look like it to me.

Re: 01-06 Fender flares
If they are bushwhacker flares, they may be real cut outs.
