I'd probably run 17's or so, until I get a 502, and a turbo. Has anyone done that on a 73-87?

If I get my truck back cheap enough I will let you know... I wanna run it before the year is over..but I will have to bribe the track officials...since I have no door handles.

I'd say the track is at sea level. The thin air up there would have alot to do with it. You should be able to find a calculation to correct the time for altitude.

No offense to Mark but I seriously doubt his truck runs 9's, Its not even caged...I honestly think with SLicks, his truck would tear its self apart on a dragstrip without a cage. I could be wrong but it takes a MONSTROUS amount of power to put a 4000 lb truck into the 9's
Has Mark ever run it yet? DD does not count

getting into the 12's should be easy as long as you have a good amount of torque. I recently made a 1/4 mile pass in my buddys stock ws6 and ran a 12.89 first pass.

i've got a buddy who used to have a '70 C10 SWB completely stripped, 4.10s, ungodly stall converter, and a mild 406. 11.00s werent a problem for him. he sprayed it a few times, then had an N2O backfire and burnt the truck to the ground.

haha, if I were to take my truck to the track right now, not only would they not let me on the track for having such a crappy running engine, but if they did It would probally take me a good minute to get my truck across the 1/4 mile point :P She has absolutely no power right now due to some insanely messed up vaccum stuff

It's about time to go back to the track. I think I will go on a Friday night this time when they have the bracket racing. I think with the cooler weather and opening the exhaust I should be able to get a 14.6?. But I won't be able to go until after Thanksgiving.

In the 1/8 or 1/4? I would have to see some time slips to verify that he's running 9's in the quarter...

who mark or the local guy? if your talking about the local guy then it is in the 1/4. i've seen him race known 10 second ls1 on the street and hag right with it only spryaing his first stage. he has 3 stages. he is spraying around 500 hp over what the motor is making n/a. using a plate and fogger system. i have no doubt the truck runs 9's. dallas street racers don't screw around
