Ceramic headers suggestions

I'm looking to purchase some ceramic long headers for my
1970 c10
350/350 auto.
Engine mostly stock.
Just don't want to buy something and find out I have clearance issues with starter for something.
Also don't want them coming down too low to the ground
Stock height truck.

That is the way to go.

BUT unless its a hi-performance machine and engine, I would stick with manifolds for the non-leak ability. Headers can not leak but they require proper installation and sealing and then maintenance afterwards.

Except Thorley headers. Leak free for years after the 1st retighten.

3/8 flanges and better tubing is why they cost more.

Um....Don't buy into this please. If you buy crap, then that's what you'll get.
Sure, some Headers do leak and some will require regular tightening. I've had DT's before and while this was in the 70's they leaked like a sponge and I carried a socket for the head bolts.

I've had my Hedmen Full length, Ceramic Coated, Stainless Steel Headers since 2010 and they've been flawless.
Pic on the left is from 2011 and the other from this past June 2017. My Hedman Headers have been the best money I've ever spent on Headers. My thought was to spend a little more up front, so I won't have to keep spending more to replace them in 7 years. You might think it's a little expensive now, but having them Not rot or rust or leak saves you in the long run.

I agree with 96blazr, that cheap headers leak. A quality pair is what you want and ceramic coating has many benefits, I wouldnt want them without it. I have a pair of sandersons on my '72 as seen above that are great. Ive also ran another pair with zero problems on the street on my '51 and they make good power.

Totally agree. One thing to point out with the Sandersons, they do not run gasgets, but a bead of high temp copper silicone. Good stuff.

I used summits own brand ceramic headers, they were cheap(ish). They do seal up ok on the heads but do leak a bit on the collectors. They looked great!! For a whole 6 months now they are rusty as sh*t and I don't even take it out when it rains! But they were a good fit with dart iron eagle heads on my 350 2wd
