Tire Size Question
I got a 1972 Chevy 2wd pickup longbox. I plan to put 15x7 front and 15x10 for the rear. Wondering what the best tire size would be for the front and back? Truck will be left at stock height. If you have pics of yours with the same rim size and would post pic that would be awesome. Thank you for your time.

Re: Tire Size Question
I'd recommend picking out tire size/look that you want first, then buy the wheel size that is appropriate (which might be 15x7 and 15x10) - unless you already have your eye on a particular set and don't want them to slip away or something like that. 15x10 is pretty wide in the back - but will of course work. The factory even made a 9.75 wheel, but that was for 8 luggers.

Re: Tire Size Question
I think NOT going to 17’s if you are buying wheels crazy. But if you stay 15’s, my preference 225 70 15 on 15x7 front and 255 70 15 on 15x8 rear.

Re: Tire Size Question
I'm going with 15x7s front and 15x10s rear for sure. I just am unsure what tires would look best on it I want something that will look right in the fender not something to big or something to small. Ive never done a two wheel drive so I'm lost on tires all my stuff has always been four wheel drive

Re: Tire Size Question
I have 15x8's on the front and 15x10's on my Burban. I am running 245/60's and 275/60's. The last two photos are of it with the old rear tires which were 295/50's. I didn't care for the 295's as the tire heights were the same. I am much happier with the look the taller rear tires have. Hope this helps. There is a "Post your 15" wheels" thread if you do a search.

Re: Tire Size Question
235/75/75 front 285/70/15 rear Coker Tire is the only place to get the 285/70 tire in the Silvertown Radial.

FWIW, I run 275 60 15 BFG drag radials on the back of my Camaro and they are sized perfectly on the 15x 8.5" Centerlines.
