Re: WTB: Rocker Box Reinforcement plates
I appreciate your help, but I was wanting the panels that bolt to the bedside and the rocker box and the end cap. I have already purchased new end caps. I pulled this picture of this reinforcement that I want off GMC Pauls site.

Re: WTB: Rocker Box Reinforcement plates
I had a friend that had a nice set so I made patterns and tried to make my own but sold the blazer. I never tried them but have them stashed away somewhere if you are interested I may be able to find them.

Re: WTB: Rocker Box Reinforcement plates
I agree, there is a reason they are expensive. They are quite an involved piece to recreate. I hear they were well made.

Re: WTB: Rocker Box Reinforcement plates
I agree they look well made and are probably worth the money. I was just hoping someone might have some stashed away that I could pick up a little cheaper.

Re: WTB: Rocker Box Reinforcement plates
Thanks. I am not in a hurry. I have plenty to do before I button up the rocker boxes. I might fab some up if I can't find any. Let me know if you run across them.

Re: WTB: Rocker Box Reinforcement plates
Thanks, I found them but they only had 1 side left and at the price plus shipping i might as well buy new ones. I really do appreciate the lead.

Re: WTB: Rocker Box Reinforcement plates
Need some help.
I'm redoing my 69 k5, and the only thing original is the inner cowl and dash. I'm down to the outer rocker panels and torsion boxes. My question is does the serrated part of the torsion box ( rocker box ) fit in to the lip of the outer rocker panel or get welded flush to the bottom outer lip. So far, both a-pillars, firewall, inner cowl, both floors, bedsides, tailgate, wheel arch, step up plate, o ya of course the windshield bow assembly. Any help, pic, etc would be appreciated I do need those reinforcement plates for the boxes also. |

Re: WTB: Rocker Box Reinforcement plates

Re: WTB: Rocker Box Reinforcement plates
Hey Notsol,
Great pics on the reinforcement plates, I know how they fit now. The new rocker boxes have an edge on them, might aid in draining. I'll try to send some pics, let me know what you think. Thank You I'm new at sending pic to a blog, actually this is my first forum....lol |
