1994 k1500 build
after several years of neglect im finally cleaning up my 1994 work/ daily truck, i drove this truck nearly every day up until the tranny started slipping about a year ago. i have owned this truck since 2009 now and ive already replaced the engine with a gm crate, and repaired all the typical rust spots over the years. however other parts of the truck have been neglected, it currently has a brake fluid leak, many rock chips, bad door pins, loose door pins, the trans is slipping and the front end needs to be gone through, as well as some new goodies!
got the truck on the hoist a couple nights ago and the tranny out, now im starting on the front end, shes going to need new tie rods and uppers, probably the second time ive done them...

Re: 1994 k1500 build
don't really know what happened to the pictures.. but heres a few...
got most of the front end done tonight, new uppers, inner and outter tie rods. i upgraded the tie rod sleeves to these pro forged ones, hopping that they wont lock up over time and make it easier when i go to align it soon. i was really impressed with the quality of these sleeves, the rods threaded into them perfect!

Re: 1994 k1500 build
over the years ive probably replaced this thermo actuator 3 times since ive owned this truck, and overall its just not reliable. so while searching on rockauto the other day i noticed they have a 5 wire covertion harness, and the larger electric actuator so i figured if its more reliable it worth the little extra.
