Is there somewhere you can order custom spray paint?

If I know the Ditzler/PPG color code, is there any place online I can order a can of spray paint in that color?

Sometimes you don't want to break out the fun and hardner and catalyst and regulator and filters and all of that...

Have you checked out duplicolor? They make a lot of factory match spray cans.

Re: Is there somewhere you can order custom spray paint?

I've ordered color matched spray paint from Tower Paint several times and have always been impressed with the quality. I like them over other options like Automotive Touchup because Tower has a single stage paint available.

Re: Is there somewhere you can order custom spray paint?

Thanks! Everything on PaintScratch.com seems to be base/clear and I was hoping for just single stage enamel of some kind...

I ordered a couple of cans from Tower Paint, we'll see how it turns out!

I have had my local Car Quest mix PPG in spray cans for me. Some was base/clear some single stage.

goto a bodyhsop supply place. We have several here (rondex, chase autobody) and they will make up whatever color you want.

Same thing what HO said - I go to our local auto refinishing center in town and they can put just about any color in a spray can.

Davepl, if you can't get what you want, the local carquest paint guy is awesome. He's mixed interior low gloss, single stage, etc and they have the paint code books back to the 50's. Get with me if you want something sent to you. Good luck!!

Re: Is there somewhere you can order custom spray paint?

My local NAPA has a Body/paint supply store out back. They sell Martin senior paints and they will mix custom aerosol colors.

I found my color in Dupicolor. It's available from Napa, AutoZone and Advance Auto and is usually in stock. That being said, I'm not using a stock color.

Hey a1971blazer! Now I am going to paint my dash, thanks for giving me the confidence . davepl also any local automotive paint supply store will mix any paint code in a spray can for you. It's about $25 a can 12oz. I just did my bed patch in my K20 Dark Olive. The color was close and I just fogged it in. looks darn good .enjoy,a1

Re: Is there somewhere you can order custom spray paint?

If you just got to any PPG automotive paint store they can make a spray paint can in any color you want. I was surprised as well! But thought it was pretty cool they could do that! It wasn't outrageously expensive either! I did clear coat over it. but you can simply rattle can spray that as well. Like $12 a can.
