Re: Help on Rally wheel size?
It's a used 1986 truck. Just because it might of came w/8" truck ralleys doesn't mean it still has them. People are known to change things around. Post up a pic of the wheels to get a definitive answer.
There are also the less common 7" ralleys as well as 6.5's from vans. Then there are aftermarket sizes too....

Re: Help on Rally wheel size?
My daughters's 82 came with 7" ralleys from the factory. As mentioned, trucks could be 7 or 8 inch wide, depending on how it was ordered. Van's had the 6.5" ralleys. This is all for the 5 lug ralleys. Far as I know the 4wd (6 lug) ralleys only came in 8 inch wide. As mentioned aftermarket lets you get a few more widths and diameters that what came from the factory. From what I have seen, the non-silverado models tended to have the 7" ralleys. That's just my experience. AS mentioned, who the heck knows if those are original to the truck or not.

Re: Help on Rally wheel size?
I would say those are 8" from the depth of the trim ring.
This is what the 7" ones looked like.

Re: Help on Rally wheel size?
Ok thank you guys! Gonna be dropping the truck soon and wanted to make sure I could fit a 275/60 tire on the rear.

Re: Help on Rally wheel size?
To be sure, you can always take a wheel off & measure. Measure from the mounting pad to the back edge & then again to the front edge. Add the dimensions together & subtract 1" (~.500" for each bead).

Re: Help on Rally wheel size?
I was looking all over the wheels last night, i did see an 8 stamped on the outside by the valve stem but not sure if that has anything to do with it.
