67 Front End rebuild
Hey guys, was wondering if anyone has used this place and if so what did you think. Anything you think this kit should come with that it doesn't?
Thanks http://stores.a-resto-parts.com/1965...&utm_source=bc |

Re: 67 Front End rebuild
Its cost effective, yet Chinese, do not expect top quality. It will work however, I tend to stay away from that stuff.

Ok good to know. Have any place who sells the whole kit like this that you would recommend?

Re: 67 Front End rebuild
I put all the stuff pictured in that kit in my cart on Rockauto.com using all MOOG parts and came up with $240.74 + Shipping. No way I would buy that kit for the same money. If you call Early Classic they are going to sell you moog parts also...but probably more expensive.
edit: I did not add the sway bar bushings in that total. Funny that kit only has 2 sway bar bushings when you need 4 ? add another $20 for 4 of those. |

Re: 67 Front End rebuild
You can get any of those parts over the counter at any auto parts store. However, ask for Moog parts... you'll be glad you did.

Re: 67 Front End rebuild
I went to the crappy slow Oreilly Auto Parts website since that is where I usually go locally to get things. Their prices are usually comparable to Autozone or Napa. I added all the moog parts to my cart and came up with $475.86
You might be able to find a coupon and get some money off. But, you are not going to get close to Rockauto. I am in the middle of rebuilding my 68 front end and converting to disc brakes at the same time, so I have studied this in depth.... Actually I got some of my parts through amazon, because I could get an open box part for less than rockauto with shipping charges.... |

Re: 67 Front End rebuild
Try advance auto parts ,They have 25% off online orders right now pay online pick up at your local store . I just bought a new Melling HV oil pump and shaft for my 350 and after the discount it was cheaper than Rockauto and I had it in an hour .

Re: 67 Front End rebuild
I'm not some rockauto sales person....but I am cheap...
Went to the advanced auto parts website which is MUCH nicer to use than Oreilly's and got the exact same amount $475.86 once you take off the 25% and add Tax....your still not to rockauto prices... |
