Help with dome light install

I am in the process of replacing the old dome light, which was not working when I bought my 70 C20, with a new one. The wires on the old one feel brittle and the tabs broke off of the base, so a new one seems like the best solution. The light and harness I bought has two wires with interesting looking connectors on the ends plus a black socket that is not attached. I am a novice at this so I am wondering how these go together. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Help with dome light install

The two wires go into the black socket. The socket then plugs into the harness.

That simple, huh? I guess I was overthinking it. Thanks, leddzepp!

Re: Help with dome light install

dont put the wires into the black socket until you get them pulled through the cab roof, if the old wires are still in the cab you can use them to pull the wires through the roof.

Re: Help with dome light install

Thanks guys, I had planned to do that based on my research from this forum. I now have a new, working dome light with an LED bulb too.
