Door skin adhesive vs seam sealer?

I am ready to install the new door skins on my 70 c30. I searched and have seen both being used. I already have a tube of 3M seam sealer and a tube of SEM seam sealer. But I was wondering if I should order door skin adhesive instead. If so what brand should I use? or should I just use the seam sealer?

PLYO GRIP panel 60 metal bond made by Valvoline. it is used by professionals to bond the skin to the door. you have 60min work time to get the skin set and the hem flange folded over and the door hung and in the proper place before it cures. you will also need to purchase the applicator or. It is how all door skins are set at the factory along with many other panels. if you wanted to seal the hem flange after that i would recommend ploy o grip controlled flow seam sealer. its a 2 part epoxy seam sealer that levels and flows for about 3min. and then starts to set and in 60.min its paintable. you can run 2 strips of tape on the back of the door to create a channel apply the sealer take an acid brush and smooth lightly. let sit for another 60 sec. and peel tape back and it will leave you with a nice even bead of seam sealer with no brush marks will look like factory. well current factory not early 70s factory. Maybe a better term would be very clean. Or you could put nothing on it and that would look good as well. the metal bond will seal out all chance of moisture.

I bet slow cure jb weld would also work in addition to crimping

I’ve heard great things about the new panel bond products. Might be worth a shot.
Where did you get your door skins? I’m considering going with full skins vs repairs.
Fit and contour ok?
Thickness of metal?

My local paint store carries 3M products.
I would look on YouTube lots of good video put there.
