Where to buy inner rear bed patch panel?

Anyone know where to purchase a short fleetside patch panel? I need the one that is for the right side, rear for a short fleetside bed? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: Where to buy inner rear bed patch panel?

Be careful with any NEW bed floor patch panels. I've used one from LMC and the ribs are not the same size as factory. I wound up cutting each high and low and stitching the panel back together, just to replace a botched fuel filler hole the previous owner cut and welded back in place, crooked. You'll want to either replace the entire floor or find a good used original patch. Otherwise, plan on doing a LOT of work to get that patch to fit and all of the ribs to line up.

Re: Where to buy inner rear bed patch panel?

Thanks for the replies!

I seemed to left out that the patch I need is for the right bedside and not the
floor!

The patch that I need is the one on the right rear inside of the bed side.

I am having problems with a picture but will try again.

Re: Where to buy inner rear bed patch panel?

Are you looking for a panel to repair the full height of the inner bedside? If you need only the lower 6" or so plus the "L" with holes at the bottom, check out Mar-K. I bought some of theirs for my long bed and had them installed when I had the body work done. They did the trick.

Re: Where to buy inner rear bed patch panel?

Thanks for the reply and link!

I tried to order but I am stuck on the phone number sections. I posted my phone number and I got the message that the number is not in a valid order!

I tried changing the order but no luck!

I am not sure what that means so I tried contacting them using their contact as posted but no reply yet. The part that I need is setting in the cart and I have pricing information and wish to complete the transaction.

I will try calling them today.

Thanks again!

Jim

Re: Where to buy inner rear bed patch panel?

Theyre pretty easy to make, I cut some out of stock I got from scrap at my buddys body shop, shaped them on a vise, dollies, etc and formed them to fit perfectly. Cut out the old, tack in the new. It turned out nicely.

But, if you want the patch panels Mar-K is the way to go.

Re: Where to buy inner rear bed patch panel?

CC69RAT,

I am about to attempt making my own. I have made other patches but I thought the raised portion might not turn out. The patch size of the repair that I need is 12" taller then the after market panel so I would need to add to it anyway.

Thanks for the reply!
