Make a lift, just put some solid lugs into the roof and attach some airplane cable with a comealong or something to it... Be creative, its the only way I can ever get something done with my truck, lol

how i lifted my motor out of the other truck was to use a tie down from a truck the 3" wide canvas one with the ratcheting strap you can lift it high enough to put it on the stand

How about bolting the stand or motor plate to the block first, & then get about 4 guys & a couple of pieces of pipe or 4x4 chained to the top & everybody stand up at once?

i lift motors in and out of my truck using a basketball hoop post. Made a jig out of a peice of pipe and a pad eye. Then welded it to the basketball hoop. It leans a little but has worked 4 times thus far. when iam finished i just use a grinder and cut the welds loose.
