Heavy rain=water on dash?
I don’t typically drive my truck in the rain, but I was caught in a rather heavy storm today on the way home. I noticed that water began dripping on my foot and on the passenger side as well.
Upon further inspection, it appears that the water is on the dash and leaking through what appear to be drains. My winshield and seal are new and so is the sealant in the drip rails. Is this a common problem? Any thoughts on where the water might be coming in at? |

Re: Heavy rain=water on dash?
Unless you have big cracks, holes in the drip rail. Most likely leaking around top of windshield. Tape off your painted areas near rubber corners, use nylon tool to ease rubber away from metal as you caulk 8" - 10" from each corner. Sika Flex 1a....3m 5200 both polyurethane. That's what I would do.
