1968 No brake lights.

I need some help figuring out why I have not brake lights on my 68 GMC. I have turn signals and marked lights. With those lights working I figure the wiring to the back is good.

When I got the truck it had a hacked up squarebody steering column with not column wiring. I have replaced that with a new column from CPP. The tail lamps are new and the brake light switch is also new. I have power on the orange wire going to the brake light switch. Power to the white wire when the brake pedal is applied. I've checked the white wire going into the column wiring harness. It has power when the brake pedal is pressed and not when the pedal is released. I find it hard to believe the new turn-signal switch would be bad.

The wiring on the truck is really pretty nice for the year and not hacked up.

Any one have ideas? I've been working hard on the truck and want to get it on the road.
