Surge tank on an A/C Truck
I want to install one of those surge tanks to catch the antifreeze that leaks out from the overflow. You folks that have one could use please post some pics of what you have. My truck is stock and I want to get one of those cannister types but am not sure where I want to mount it.

Re: Surge tank on an A/C Truck
I want to install a cannister type too but I don't know where to mount since my battery is right there.

I'll take a picture of mine when I get home. I have no idea if its the original location or not, I just know it's there.

Bought this from Pickmup who sells on this site. Works great.

I like that, looks cleaner than the one on my truck.

Re: Surge tank on an A/C Truck
I had one of those on my last truck, got it from Classic Heartbeat and it worked okay but was wanting to do the cannister one this time.

Re: Surge tank on an A/C Truck
I have a tank like you'd see on a later '70s vehicle. But it has a long hose to it, as my FiL put it on the driver's side of the engine compartment.
