72 C10. I rebuilt the vent windows years ago - so long ago that I can’t remember what I did. Duh. It’s so difficult to close them that I just leave them shut for fear of breaking the glass. Is there an adjustment someplace? Thanks

I am also interested in what you come up with. The ones I rebuilt pivot fine but the front bottom corners will not pop in to the weather strip very easily. Is that the same problem that you have?

The only adjustment on vent windows is the spring tension on the bottom pivot shaft , Too tight they won't open and close easily ,Too loose and they'll flop around and not stay where you want them . use cation it's easy to twist the shaft right off the vent window frame .They have to come back out to adjust .

Thanks for the replies. After checking closer, I think the problem is the stiff weatherstripping in the front corners. They definitely don't leak! I'm going to soak them up with some silicone spray for a few days and see if that helps. Maybe a touch of dielectric grease too.

Problem is that the back of the vent windows don’t line up with the rear vertical support (the front track of the side windows). They’re tipped, so the top of the vent window and the front curved corner don’t want to go into the weather stripping. Not sure how to fix that. Can I bend the tab that has the rivet?
