Re: WTB looking for usable, reasonable, complete HEI distributor for Inline 6
Just a suggestion and a thought but you might consider doing a Petronix ignition conversion. They make a 6 cylinder unit for both 6 volt and 12 volt systems. I converted my '71 4x4 using original stock GM points distributor and stock cap. Worked out really well since the V8 4x4 engine sits further back on the frame I did not have room for a large cap HEI distributor. This solved the problem and gives a stock looking engine compartment. Just some thoughts.
Good luck on your project.

Thanks IronHorse ! I do like the Petronix stuff, but this is a basket case project and I do not have the (or any ) distributor assembly at all... just thought getting an hei unit would be quickest and easiest. And would rather have good used than chinese....

If interested I think my BIL, old wagon, has a 6 cylinder distributor from a '67 GMC he is parting, that would be a 12 volt system. Should be compatible to your square body I would think. Might contact him, just a thought.

Pick up a Skip White on evilflay. Drop in no muss no fuss. don't forget to put on good wires, replace the resisot wire, and up the plug gap.
