Been driving the 42 -- made some adds and changes

I have been driving the 42 to weekly crusins and a couple of shows. I did add carpeting and mats. I put down 3 coats of duplicolor bed liner to the diamond plate floor then glued/formed non backed plush carpet. I modified the aftermarket floor mats for a proper fit.

I also painted the top 3 grill bars to match the vertical bars.

I also downsized the front tire wheel and tire width. The back are still 265x70R15 on 8 inch rims and went with 6 inch rims and 215x75R15 on the front.

The cab/truck was a former drag truck in Somerset, KY. It was yellow with "Alley Cat" on both doors. I put "Alley Cat" within a chevy bowtie on the tailgate.

Yea, I will post some updated pics when we get some sunshine here maybe Monday or Tuesday. We are 6.5 inches above normal precip so far this year.

Re: Been driving the 42 -- made some adds and changes

Sits on a 1990 S10 Blazer frame and suspension --- bed is 7" shorter than a 42 short bed. Blame me for all --- good and bad.

Cool solid truck, no air but wife will ride in it on a hot day because the open windshield and cowl let air roll thru and out the side windows.

I am having a custom made poplar/oak chest being made by an Amish carriage maker and will post after I finish and mount it in the bed. 12Wx45Lx16H

That is a leather rear seat out of a mid nineties Caravan.
