Bucket seat choices
For those of you that have installed bucket seats, what did you use? Right now I have a set out of a Cavalier but am undecided.

Re: Bucket seat choices
What ever you use it has to have a low (shoulder high) back that is pretty straight up and down an doesn't lean back too much or you loose too much leg room along with having a seat that looks like it doesn't belong there.
Take a look in an early 90's Grand Caravan the next time you are in the wrecking yard. They have front buckets on pedestals that are held in with 4 bolts that go in from the bottom . The bases have plastic storage boxes that are usually busted by now but you could cut a slice out of the base and weld it back together real easy to adjust the height.

Re: Bucket seat choices
I used a pair out of a 1990 lebaron in a 1941 I built last year, had them recovered of course.

Re: Bucket seat choices
I am using 3rd row tahoe leather like orge (sp?) shoulder Seat belts are already there. Headrests are there and they dont block rear window. Its fits perfectly. just weld up a rack . seats click in and out. These are not traditional buckets but they are supper comfortable.

Re: Bucket seat choices
i used 07 ford fusion seats, chopped 6 inches and headrests removed
2nd and 3rd pic shows before/after chop 4th pic is my headrest, ogre is tall not the cheapest option due to recovering them seats are very comfortable for long trips and have held up well after 8 years and 36,000 miles
