guy crashed my 04 Sierra (need help)
Insurance totaled my 04 but I want to revive it.
Can you guys tell me if I can use Yukon front clip on my Sierra? And if so what years will fit? Thanks for any help. Last edited by 63frankintruck; 09-26-2018 at 08:18 PM. |

Re: guy crashed my 04 Sierra (need help)
Specifically I, have a lead on a 2000 and a 2001 Yukon. Wondering if the front end would be direct bolt up to my 2004 Sierra?

Re: guy crashed my 04 Sierra (need help)
This is testing my memory a bit, but both should work just fine. (As long as the 2000 isn't a Denali model, which is still the GMT400 design.) The only potential issue that comes to mind is in ideally matching the front suspension - i.e. coils in 2wd models vs torsion bars in 4wd ones. I can't recall if that will actually matter, but it might be worth considering.
Good luck - sorry to hear about this. '04 was a great year on the -800 platform. |

Quote:
I got the core support changed out without removing the radiator and condenser. Going to put it together put the fender on and hang some lights on it so I can get back and forth to work. |

How much did the frame get tweaked?
I remember reading that you aren't supposed to straighten the GMT800 frames much because the crumple zones loose a bunch of their strength.

Can't help you out, but DANG! That ford edge (Flex) is a lot bigger than it looks.
