Best th350 rebuilt Kit

I'm Looking To Get My TH-350 Transmission Rebuilt and Am Looking For a Quality Rebuild Kit To Buy To Give To My Transmission Shop. Does Anyone Make One.

Running a Roughly 400 Hp Small Block That's Gonna Be Used For Mostly Daily Use and Maybe Occasionally Hit The Track.

Any Other Parts I Should Upgrade As Well?? Thanks

UHHMM your looking for a kit for the trans. shop I think I would look for a different trans, shop. I rebuilt my TH-350 and got a B&M kit from Sumitt several years ago they are not that hard o rebuild.

If a transmission shop needs you to supply the "good" parts to rebuild a TH350... I'd look for a different shop.

It is one way to make sure they aren't installing inferior parts, maybe.. But I'd have preferred to have been the one to initiate that conversation (if they initiated it, I mean). If they initiated it - I'm with the rest of the crowd, I might look elsewhere.

That is very odd. And to boot, the trans shop should be answering the questions you are asking about upgrades.

Work the phones. You should talk to four or five shops.

I talked to around eight shops for the trans and transfer I just got rebuilt. I almost drove clear out to Anaheim Gear.

But I found a little jewel of a place in Van Nuys, Box and Gear. The father is an old guy and loves working on the old gear boxes. I got great work at a great price.

I clicked with the son Jr. and even more with the father Jesse when I dropped off the trans and transfer.

Working the phones is still a good thing to do. I really liked a guy out in Lancaster but I couldn't pin him down on price. He's a 4x4 guy but he's just too dang busy. I moved on...

And I also called four places local for my drive shaft, work the phones.

Oh, and one other thing... engine builders and good transmission guys... they have definite opinions!

I used Makco for parts on the 200R4 I rebuilt myself. Here is the link for a TH350.

However any good transmission shop has multiple sources for just about anything. Especially for something that common.

The shop should be familiar with the various kits. If they are reputable, they sure don't want customers coming back with problems.

For a shift kit, you can't beat Transgo's 350 1+2 kit, using the "1" mods for a street truck. Firm but NOT harsh shifts, unlike the less expensive B&M Shift Improver kit. Not only that, but TransGo actually answers the phone.
