I guess it's OK if you really want to show off your engine.

Ha ha, he actually tried to use the Assembly Manual to assemble his truck. Just goes to show what a mess that Assembly Manual is!

Re: now theres sumting you dont see every day
Perhaps he has the cab mounted on 8ft linear gas shocks....so in case of an accident he enough deceleration space to help survive the hit....lol.

I’ll bet that thing is a wheelie monster. Hope it’s not a 3OTT. Linkage was bad enough when it was short.

Re: now theres sumting you dont see every day
Don't see that everyday, but did see it in another thread not so long ago on it. I swear it might have even had the same title. About a goofy deal for sure. I see a test stand for road tests.

Re: now theres sumting you dont see every day
What do you do when you have a nice 67 that's badly rear-ended, and a rotted-out long bed that has a long slide-out bumper for a camper? You toss the rotten and crashed parts, weld the slide at full extension, and combine.
And there you have it... No disrespect meant, he obviously put some effort into that. |

Re: now theres sumting you dont see every day
On the last thread where this truck image popped up, we determined that somebody mounted a frame-forward V8 on a rig designed for launching big boats.* The real engine was under the hood. The rear wheels steer on CV axles like a front wheel drive.
On the launching/beaching vehicle, the boat is floated onto the semi-submerged frame, secured and pulled up the ramp by the ''truck''. [EDIT] *Floatplanes, rather. I thought it was photoshopped at first, too. See: http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa...d.php?t=767543
