Shift boot
The shift boot on my truck is in bad shape. It is a 1967 Chev PU, with a 283 V8 and a 4 speed. I have looked at my usual suppliers, and they list a boot for a 67 with 6 cyl and 4-speed, and 68-72 with V8 4 speed, and others earlier and later, but not for the 67 with V8 and 4-speed. Does anyone know a source for these?
Thanks |

Re: Shift boot
Maybe post a pic of your old boot. An old original boot will last linger than an Asian repro boot by may years. I might have a repro that's never seen the sun tho... It's ~1/3 flat then takes a turn up. That's clear--not.

Re: Shift boot
Actually it is clear, and it sounds like the right one. I think that is what is strange about the 67 boot (with V8). The boot sits right where the transmission tunnel part of the floorboard transitions into the bellhousing hump part of the floorboard, so the boot sits flat on the transmission tunnel part and then turns uphill for the bellhousing hump. I'll try to get a picture in the morning and post.
