Wheel, suspension and disc brake help
Hey all looking for help on coming up with the best options on my 63 C10 for wheels, tires, springs, and front disc brake conversion. I need to get tires and wheels for the truck. I figure while I’m doing that I should swap out the front for disc brakes but not sure on a stock spindle or drop. The truck has been lowered currently by cutting the springs so I was also contemplating making a change there as well to improve ride. I have so many options and things to be careful of like tire width/size and making sure nothing rubs. Any advice and direction would be amazing. Thanks!

Re: Wheel, suspension and disc brake help
There is a lot of information in the FAQ section and it is worth scrolling through to see what is there. It is a great resource. Wheels will depend on what you like. I have steel wheels on mine with baby moon hub caps. Most of the after market wheels will clear the disc brakes. The over all goal for the truck will drive the plan and parts list for doing the swap. Springs are just part of the ride and the tires, shocks and even the seat all contribute to the ride. So let us know what the goal is for the truck and we can better help with a way to get there.

Re: Wheel, suspension and disc brake help
I have 15X7 front and 15X8 wheel vintiques 12 series on my 66. Tires 225 front and 255 rear and the are fine. I like the bell tech street performance shocks. You can do disc brakes using the 73 and up stuff with 6 lug rotors from Summit racing. 2" springs front and 3 or 4 rear may get you what you are looking for. Put an adjustable track bar on the back.

Re: Wheel, suspension and disc brake help
https://www.earlyclassic.com/node/1153 They bolt up to your stock steering components. The best deal for 6 lug rotors is from Summit Racing.

Re: Wheel, suspension and disc brake help
If you use 73 or later spindles you can do it this way. I put 75 year spindles in my truck because I had them laying around. http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa...isc+brake+swap
