Lift kit question please help

I have 1970 GMC shorted 4x4 pickup, I'm going to be lifting it with rough country 4" lift, all new leafs all the way around but, there it says fits models with 52" leaf springs is there difference in years, for the leafs or different model that have this?

To my knowledge, all of the early truck had 52" springs. For sure in the 1/2 tons. The 56" spring seems to be a mid 70's and up thing on some trucks. (3/4 tons, Suburbans I think for sure.)

1967-1968 4x4s have 56” leafs in the back

At least the two I’ve owned have.

I have a four inch all spring lift on my 4x4. I think its Skyjacker. You should take your stock springs and bring them over to my house and Ill give you my four inch springs.

Mine are 71/72 style. I think there is a width thing (not length) on the different years.
