69-72 Blazer/Jimmy rear hatch REPO's now available
Hi everyone,
Not sure if anyone knew about these new hatches that have been Reproduced and are being sold in Calif... Have your wallet ready though as they are a bit expensive but if yours has been wrecked or stolen then this is the next best option when you don't have time to track them down in the forum... https://www.brotherstrucks.com/69-72...tinfo/BRH6972/ ** Now if we can just get someone to start making the glass pieces that go in the hatch and sides... That would be awesome.

They've been out for some time, the reviews I've read on the forum describe them as Ill fitting.

Re: 69-72 Blazer/Jimmy rear hatch REPO's now available
It would be nice if someone did a side by side comparison and test fitting to see if the differences are too great or can be managed with a little shaping. Of course new rubber would probably help as well to fill in any small gaps. It has to be better than not having a hatch at all to secure your truck with...
Plus with forum members stepping up to make some of the parts now, really helps all of us keep them on the road longer. Jesse b. Is making the locking mechanism and you can get a garage handle at home Depot that works fine with it for under $10.00. I thought I saw someone else making hinge covers and another making the outer metal rectangular hinge covers that the hinge grommet/gasket goes under so things are definitely improving. I am going to check out getting the hatch glass made but not sure if it will be prohibitively expensive or not but if someone breaks your window you have to do something....

There’s a thread that compares them and it literally had to be rebuilt to be used. From what I saw a basket case would be better to start with since fiberglass work is required.

Here is an older thread on it with another thread within. Not sure if they have made any improvements or not
