vision 142 legend 6 wheels problems
Hi guys,
has anyone run into lug nut problems with these wheels? I noticed that my original lug nuts wouldn't have enough grip so I got the mag type lug nuts. They won't go in any further. So did I get defective wheels? Should I grind out the holes? They are off by a hair. I'm using 7/16 -20 lug nuts by the way. |

I would not modify the rims- that could make them unsafe to use as well as unreturnable. Those use a conical seat lug nut according to what I found, so your lug nuts should work. However, most aluminum rims are thicker than steel, so you probably need to go to a longer lug stud.

Re: vision 142 legend 6 wheels problems
Thanks! I went to a rim shop and luckily the guy that was going to bore out the bolt holes got stage fright. He made it sound like they do it all the time but I saw no drill press, bench or anything. I think I'll try finding longer studs but it hasn't been easy.
Thanks! |
