Tilt steering column
Can anyone point me towards a good how to video on replacing turn signal switch in a tilt column? I've done non tilt and want to make sure I see how it comes apart. My switch is cracked, and I just got a new switch in.
Thanks guys!

Re: Tilt steering column
I have just disassembled a tilt column to sand blast and paint. I took a lot of pics on my phone but I can't pull them up. I looked on you tube several on there. Unless your going to take the whole column apart. You will probably going to have to take the wires out of the connector. I just used a small cotter pin to get the wires out of the connector. Wrap a string or lite wire around the switch wires and pull it through. You will have to do the same to the new switch and pull back through. Sorry I couldn't get pics up but new phone and me are not getting along.

I did this a few months ago on my tilt. I took the pins out tied string to the wires pulled it out then just pulled it back through. the upper signal part is a little tricky to get in but it goes in pretty easy. Just take your time. It looks like it want fit with the E flasher nub but it does.

Re: Tilt steering column
The upper shroud is no problem to pull off. Run a super small flat blade screwdriver around the joint and keep going around about 10 times or so and pull upwards on that shroud from the top and after just a little bit of time it will pop off gaining you much access.Have fun !! Jim
