My new (to me) truck

Just bought this 2011 Silverado 2500HD 6.0 rwd from the company I work for. I paid $500.00 for it! I believe it has 127 grand on the clock but I’ll confirm that later when i get it home. I’m going to change the title on Wednesday. It needs a little work but it’s mostly cosmetic. I don’t have a lot of money so it’s going to be a little slow going but I’m excited.

Re: My new (to me) truck

I’ve been driving it since the 3rd and I have zero complaints. Strong engine and smooth transmission. Pretty soon I’ll have the front end fixed up give it tune up and fluid change. I’ll post more pics when I get the parts.

Re: My new (to me) truck

nice deal on that .... i would also cheque the wire(s) behind the light(s) ( a friend of mine had theirs caught on fire because of exposed wires ).

i would say the toughest part in fixing the truck would be the passenger side bed

Re: My new (to me) truck

Thanks for the support guys, I appreciate it. I’ve checked the wiring and everything seems covered up ok. I’m not worried about the bed, I plan on getting one from the pick-a-part in the future. For now I’m just doing the maintenance to make sure it stays running good. Go before show. The front cosmetics are next then some tint, a touchscreen with reverse camera and new speakers in the doors. The bed is after all that. I might put my 12” rf powered sub that I have in my 95 GMC Sierra in it since that one will be sitting a while.

Re: My new (to me) truck

Wow, you did good! The Company I work with has numerous Silverados with over 200,000 - 300,000 miles and they're not afraid to take off to a several hundred mile job site. Maintain your truck and it'll take care of you. You got a deal!
