Using Seats From a Car?
Hi all,
I would like to ask if anyone has an experience of using the seat frames from a car ( to use as a bench seat at front?). What do you think are the potential things to be considered. Is it a different angle? (Can I bend it ) Or do I need to mount them higher? Shall I use custom spacers, rails to mount it higher? I have currently two bucket seats from 80s Mercedes and want to change it back to original ( as much as possible). Right now I have bought a seat frame from an earlier Chevrolet Car. Unfortunately I cannot find any truck or suburban seats.. Even this is pretty rare for Turkey...

Re: Using Seats From a Car?
Perhaps if you could post the dimensions of the seats you have we could help with comparing them to what was factory. Fortunately for you the the floor pan is fairly flat and there is lots of room. We would love to see pictures of your truck that has traveled so far from it's birth place.
This thread may help. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=698932&page=4

Re: Using Seats From a Car?
Here are the pictures.. The original color was navy/blue .. converted to dark gray by PO..My main dilemma is whether keep the current color or convert to a turq or navy.. i dont like the idea of not being stock color but think it is a nice and modern color..
i think i will keep it as is.. (though need a re-spray anyway) But interior is bad and i dont think it matches. any sugestions for a color scheme/interior welcomed!
