My 72 Cheyenne Super

As a lot of you know, I did a frame off on this Cheyenne Super 30 years ago. Originally I put it back stock then later did a 2", 4" drop.

A couple weeks ago I got bored, and had some new lowering parts laying around so I dropped it another inch to 3 1/2", 5" drop.

Momma and the kids bought me a set of 20" wheels for Christmas, that I may put on it, but I have a set of NOS PO1's on the shelf so I may play with the look. I'll post more pictures when that happens.

Re: My 72 Cheyenne Super

Naw, I meant to go back and correct that typo in the other thread. It was supposed to say 30,000 miles.

These tires have about 500 miles. They are super smooth, but I can't keep the whitewalls white. They turn yellow.

That's a beautiful truck. Look at that thing, 30 years later. Still looks new.

Seems 71-72 are still more popular, but I like them all. I would LOVE to have a 67 SWB in light blue. Maybe a white top, and the chrome. Then again, I'd like a SWB 70 GMC step side with a BBC in hugger orange. Then again......They're all nice.

Just my personal opinion, and no doubt they vary, but I prefer the 71 over 72. I like the mirror placement and the door panels better, and the arm rests are superior. IMO they're more durable too. No denying the 72 though, some are just plain beautiful. Especially a dark olive Super, and red is beautiful too.

Re: My 72 Cheyenne Super

great looking truck! I would expect nothing less from Davis Co.

not enough rust for my taste but I really like it

as for the white walls.. Westley's Blech Wite is an incredible tire cleaner..

easily removes road grime and the brownish yellow gunk from black/white walls/letters, works on it all..

I used Westley's and scrub pads multiple times.

Thanks.
