WTB: GMC 351 or 401 v6 Magnum intake manifold
I'm wanting to upgrade to a beefier carburetor for my 305A v6 and this is supposed to be one of the main ingredients.
Thanks, Scott |

Re: WTB: GMC 351 or 401 v6 Magnum intake manifold
You want a 2 bbl V6 intake (from a 305E) and a carb adapter. The magnum intakes have a trapezoidal carb flange, larger size ports, and no divider between the adjacent ports.
Using that intake you would have some port misalignment on standard heads kind of like if you bolted oval port BBC manifold on a set of BBC peanut port heads To complicate the magnum swap, they don't make a carb adapter for the Magnum intake anymore (Transdapt PN 2140) and the magnum gaskets are hard to come by although some claim the standard gaskets will work. |

Sorry if I wasn't clear but using the magnum intake will cause the port issues, the 305E intake will fit you ports.
IIRC the 305A only has a one barrel manifold so the 305E 2 bbl intake should wake you your V6. BTW Some have milled the top off the magnum manifold and bolted on a 4 bbl adapter if you are planning this then the magnum manifold is the one you need. |
