Brake pushrod to short can I swap?
Working on a 1970 3/4 ton I ordered a brake booster from Napa part #54-71011
I am installing it now and the pushrod is 1-1/2” shorter so I can’t bolt it up to the pedal. Can I swap these out? Doesn’t seem to pull out? Don’t want to damage the new one if I have to bring it back. I looked up 1ton part number and it is the same? Any help would be appreciated Trip |

Have you tried hooking up the vac source and starting the engine - not sure but that may move it toward where you need it.

The rear brake booster shaft is not replaceable unless during a major overhaul...
I have seen this before... Check out https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/NBB5473709 Call the NAPA store, check their stock then take your old one to match the length..... Have fun...
