I just jumped in before somebody that’s hung one door gave false information. I saw your rear door gap and it looks good.
Your upper is wide but even, you might have to leave it...give it a few whacks and see what happens.
The doors and cabs vary some and sometimes you have to live with a wider than ideal gap.
You can remove the spot welds front and rear to raise the frame but that’s drastic and usually not warranted.

You can easily close the upper corner gap evening out the pillar gap with a few hits. Remove the wing window first.
Then shape the rear and upper with a few hits.

Re: 72 Sierra Grande Door gap part 2

Here is a thread from me dealing with door alignment issues.

Would need to see the gap all around to tell what is the best thing to do.

This is the truth. I’ve got a couple different sets of OE gm doors in good shape that I’ve had on my K20, they all fit just a little different on the same truck. It’s often a compromise on getting the gaps right.

Took me a bit to figure this out. I think it is in my thread I linked above. I have the original doors on my truck. My uncle owned it before me and his neighbor owned it before that. The window frame is at least 1/8" lower in the rear. There was a second set of doors that came with the truck when I got it. The frame is level front to back.

They say like 3/16" all around, but that sure wasn't happening. I spent a couple days moving each door around to get it lined up as best I could and close right.
