Jack for my 1965 C-10 what is a good option?

Hi All, I need to buy a jack for my 65 C-10. I need something to tuck away in the truck. It would need to be able to get under the truck with a flat tire. I tried my bottle jack but when the tire was down I could not get it under the axle nor would it look safe to even do on frame or rear. I thought farm jack or bumper jack but they are bulky to store..perhaps a good scissor jack and add a rubber pad on top? My floor jack is fine at home but obviously no use on the road.. Any ideas?

My truck is lowered so...

What I do is I have a hydraulic jack in a case, jack the frame up, use a jack stand and then put the hydraulic jack under the crossmember.

Don't they sell small floor jacks that can fit behind the seat on these trucks? I bet you can find one. Or a scissor jack, ya that'd work.

I will look into the setup you have Clyde.. as for behind the seat. No.. the gas tank is behind so no room there.. but I think a scissor would fit under but it would need to be heavy enough and high enough. I was hoping someone had found one that gave enough lift.

I use a screw jack that fits where the gas tank used to sit. It' old & scratched but I'll look for the brand name. Here is a short review.
