Exaust manifold question

What did you do when you found your 250 inline 6 exhaust manifold was trash ? Are headers more trouble than they are worth ? Is it better to stick with another old manifold if you can find another one in good shape ? Anyone go with the Clifford package with intake, headers and carb ? Does anyone have a nice manifold they are willing to sell ? Mine is a 1970. I just want a reliable solution. Not looking to build a hot rod.

Re: Exaust manifold question

I would look for a stock type exhaust manifold. Not sure if there are after market units to be had. BUT whatever you put on it, get Remflex gaskets, they WILL seal it up!!!

Re: Exaust manifold question

I bought a stock exhaust manifold form a guy that parts out 67-72 chevy trucks. I think I paid about $100.00 dollars for it. I wanted to keep mine stock.

Re: Exaust manifold question

I went with aftermarket and had no issues. This question has come up many times recently. I bought a few original ones that I thought I might use, but the new seemed like the best option. You can't even tell it from original. The new manifold came with a gasket but I used a fel-pro and have yet to have any issues.
