My New Truck from "Chevyland"
I'm the lucky person who bought the 72 olive/yellow truck from Eric.
He gave me a good deal and I shipped it from Ca, arrived Friday 4/19. She's a sweet girl and I've already named her: Olive. I'm going to post more pictures and info in the coming days but it's late so I'm gonna keep it short. Just want to get started so I can document the repairs & updates for future reference. I think she's amazing with 75,000 miles, mostly original paint, and rust free. Here's a couple pictures from the original ad by Eric. More to come soon. Thanks again to Eric.

Re: My New Truck from "Chevyland"
Congratulations! That is exactly what I am ready for, a gentleman's truck. The hot little short beds are cool. Been a K/20 man for 37 years. Had my Custom Campers and K/10 SWBs. I have the short bed and the K2500 and want to add a classy chassis to the corral. Something half as nice will do. Just a clean stocker C/10 with comfort & convenience, wheel covers, and narrow whitewalls. Great find!!

Re: My New Truck from "Chevyland"
What a beauty! I thought long and hard about bringing Betsy to KY (too long actually) but ultimately didn't pull the trigger. Olive is one of the nicest looking C10's I've seen.

Re: My New Truck from "Chevyland"
Thanks to everyone for the nice comments. I appreciate it.
However the credit for this truck goes to Eric and the other previous owners. I was told its' been garaged it whole life and I believe it due to the condition.

Re: My New Truck from "Chevyland"
That is one cool old man truck. The pale yellow with light green was a popular combo in the '50s "Belair" era. I think GM offered that combo just for the "matured" '50s guys. What a fine example of a well ordered mid-level fancy truck

Re: My New Truck from "Chevyland"
I've been busy with 'Olive'. Had to put in a new water pump, old one started grinding and making a lot of noise.
Just sourced a new one (not rebuilt) from local parts store, doing fine now. New belts added also. Installed new points, plugs, set timing. She now kicks into passing gear and goes really well. I had a really nice radio that I installed with new speaker from electro-switch. Now I have to get an antenna. The metal tip on the original antenna cable came off. Hate that cause it's a very nice original antenna, very hard to find. Gonna post more as I get things done, wanna document the process.
