How do you remove UCA stud?
Like the title says. Or can this be replaced? I thought the bushing was completely shot and that is why the upper control arm was loose. Then I found this...

Re: How do you remove UCA stud?
They can be replaced. They are like a wheel stud with a splined area under the head to prevent them from turning when the nut is loose. I don't know the part number but it should be available at NAPA or a Dorman vendor. Do a search here or on the interweb and you will find it. To remove put a nut on it and thread it down flush with the end of the stud and use a nice sized drift hit it with a BFH. Not too hard and it will drive out. Make sure the truck is secure on it's jack stands so it won't fall off the jack when you hit it. Not that I ever did that.

Re: How do you remove UCA stud?
Nothing from NAPA or Dorman. It looks like LMC offers it but I would rather have a good used original than their junk.

Re: How do you remove UCA stud?
Try Chevy as well and try alternate years like calling it a 76
I have had to do that with brake parts over the years |
