axle seals
I'm doing a gear ratio change, and was wondering if I have to change axle seals or can I just slide the axles back in, there not leaking now, reason I ask is I have to get the axle bearings pressed on and off at a machine shop to change seals don't I?

No press necessary if you have the C-clip type axle. The bearings are pressed into the housing & the axles just slip through them. If the seals aren't fairly new, I'd replace them. They're cheap & it's not hard at all if the axles are already out. Be sure to check the axles for grooves (grooves=bad) where the bearings ride.
