Noob Questions
This may have been covered, so I apologize, but considering doing a swap on my truck and just curious... Truck is a 72 K20 and considering an LQ9 with the 4L80E or 4L60E.
Can the stock radiator be used, or does that need to be completely switched out as well? With the transmission cooler included in the radiator, just don't know and not sure if it has the capacity for the engine, etc. Can I still use the NP205 transfer case with one of those transmissions on the stock side of the truck? Is the drive by wire a difficult modification to the existing pedal assembly or is it better to try to convert to a drive by cable option? Pretty sure the LQ9 didn't have drive by cable, but I don't know a lot about this yet... |

Re: Noob Questions
stock radiator in good shape will be fine.no issues there..
you can keep your 205 but you will need a adapter to go from the 60 or 80 to a 205... hard to find but if you can find a 91 suburban they came with a 4l80/np241 pass side drop that might be cheaper...if you can find one... the dbw throttle works fine ..as does the bdc...a dbc setup is a little cheaper to do
