55.2-59 cab mount question

trying to mock up cab on a 55.2 3/4 ton.
anyone know how thick the rubber pads are?
want to use wood as a temp for mocking it up to check clearance issues.

dont see where that shows anything to do with rubber mounts between cab and frame.

measurement I shows 1.88" (? looks to be 1.88" anyway) between the top of the frame and the top of the cab floor on a panel which uses the same cab mounts. you could probably measure your floor and subtract to get the thickness you need.


edit: the more I look at your truck, the more I am convinced that someone put a task force body on an AD frame. although it might have been the way it came from the factory, as a 55.1 3/4 ton GMC maybe they didnt have the nuances figured out yet, and used the AD truck as the base (essentially a factory conversion/body swap) but your front frame section is AD and that core support definitely is. can you post more pictures of your front fame section?

it is not a conversion.
this is the way gmc came.
it is clearly shown this way in parts book
55 and 56 were both this way

GMC was different because of the longer gmc engine, which made the frame front crossmember and radiator support different so that the engine fit.

It is not a Chevy with GMC emblems. the Chevy fenders fit but even they are different than their GMC counterpart.
The only TRUE direct swap parts are the suspension, steering, axles, doors, glass, and bed.

Some GMC stuff is completely different, some is slightly different and can be adapted from chevy.
