"Finally started installing the new suspension" or "I hate corner cutters!"
I've been sitting on a Classic Performance lowering kit for my 67 for a few months now and finally started poking around to get it installed.
Here's the kit, though I actually got it from my dude Leon, the owner of LSXEVERYTHING dot Com. (good dude, great prices, SUPER helpful) https://www.summitracing.com/parts/clp-6572lhpk/ It's pretty painless and would otherwise bolt right up... Rriigghhtttt uuuppppp until you have to start dealing with the previous owner's corner cutting. Hey, I get it: when you want "MOAR LOWER!!! "you've got to DO... things. Well, in this case, "things" included "cutting stock coils", "ditching lower spring perches" and "not putting it back together right, so now the bolt is bent". Anyway, I'll have new springs all around, new shocks, panhard bar, and both front and rear sway bars on it over the next few days, so I'm counting on a MUCH improved ride. Thats not a bad list. Some of the previous owner list on trucks I have had would fill all the pages on a legal pad. Take the time to go over it all and bring it up to the standards you want. We all have to go through it.

Thanks Jimmy.
Right now I'm trying to decide on fresh poly spring perch isolators, so I'm hoping someone might know if there are supposed to top and bottom isolators or if it's just bottoms. I'm looking at the Energy Suspension isolators, but want to make sure I order the right ones. |

there are no "isolators" on coil springs in these trucks. the fronts sit in the lower a arm and are captured at the top in the cross member pocket. the rears bolt directly to the frame on top and to the trailing arms on the bottom.

Thanks man
I've got a spare 68 that's decent and has a lot of good parts on it. I slid under it and thought it had an isolator but it turns out I was seeing the fat part of the stock springs. |
