It says not to bash people listing stuff for sale on the forum. It says nothing about bashing what people put on Ebay. It is to protect people's feeling on the forum not on ebay.

Ah, I see, I did not know that being a member of this board gave us the privilege of bashing other not of this board. That is the problem with this board now a days, a lot of newcomers that like to ***** and moan about others. This should be about helping each other with our trucks. So what if you don't agree with someone else. Keep it to yourself, or go tell your mom.

I would never make a negative comment on something being sold on our board...but we should offer & can offer some good comments on problems & prices of items found in other places. It can help us be aware of what some of the problems are and prices should be...again...imho

Actually I like seeing other people say whats what on Ebay and how much things are going for so i know the an appropriate price of an object.

There is no difference in doing what is on this post than walking through a swap meet and telling a friend the vendor prices are way too much and he must be on crack asking that. That is normal man bench racing type talk.

The only rude thing would be to tell the vendor that to his face or to email the guy on Ebay. It is not acceptable and rude

I believe that is the principle behind the rules of this board. TO protect the seller from someone being rude, not to disallow some "friends" off hand remarks about the outrageous price wanted for some object.

As for the newbie thing that some people throw out and the mistaken belief that everyone that is a newbie is some juvenile kid is ludicrous.

"So what if you don't agree with someone else. Keep it to yourself, or go tell your mom."

Some who were remarking have over 1500 posts and are just short of you for time on the board.

This is a community of newbies, post whores, guest lurkers, etc. That is what is great about this board. I love the other board too but without these people this board would be just as slow as the other one.

So newbie's, post whores, and the rest God bless them.

I MAY BE A NEWBIE TO THIS BOARD, I HAVE OWNED OVER 30 TRUCKS AND OWN 9 NOW AND BEING A NEWBIE TO THIS BOARD DOES NOT AFFECT MY KNOWLEDGE OF 67-72 TRUCKS. SO IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH WHAT I SAY THAN KEEP IT TO YOURSELF.

Pickmup, I understand your post, as you deal with selling parts, and in your experience, you have a good idea what these seats sell for, and you listed that in the posting, which should be helpful to others of this board.

Primered_69, I see your point about being rude and commenting (or not commenting) about someone's price. I however, only meant that a lot of newcomers are quick to bash others, whether of this board or not. I did not intend it to sound like I was referring to newcomers as juvenile kids, but merely that anyone who complains about someone else's should really keep it to themselves. "or their mom", could be interpreted as me saying they are kids, but everyone has a mom, regardless of age, and I mean it in the context that none of us are a poster's "mom". I will admit I should have left that out...

Also, I have been around here for long time, and have seen this board grow from a small group that had few troubles, to an amazing large group with quite a few troublemakers.
I don't think numbers of post have anything to do with what my complaint is.

And PTs 70 CST, I just flat out think that it not cool to bash others PERIOD. That has nothing to do with your "over 30 trucks" experience. That sounds like you could bring to good knowledge to the board, just don't start by cutting others down, rather tell us what you have been able to sell those seats for, and how much you have been able to ship them for, and with what service.

I have sold several complete truck grilles, and shipping in some cases has been upward of $150, so I would be very interested in how to ship these larger heavier items such as seats like these.

NOTE though, if I had these seats, I would be using them!!!

I saw a set of brand new 15x8 Cragars on Ebay awhile back with a start price of 800 bucks. The ad said that they cost like 275 each new, so 800 a set was a deal.

I emailed the seller and provided a link to Summit where the Cragars sell for 119 each, so 800 was way to high. I wrote it very tactfully and decently too.

The seller responded back to me. Seems she was a new widow who was selling her late husband's garage full of stuff. She had no idea that the Cragars were so cheap. She lowered her start price way down.

In her return email, she thanked me for telling her. She said she was very upset that the auction had only been viewed like 8 times in 6 days with zero bids at all.

After cutting her price in half, the bidding picked up very quickly.

EVERYONE NEEDS TO TRY AND BE DECENT TO EACH OTHER. DAMN, THIS WORLD SUCKS BAD ENOUGH WITHOUT EVERYONE BASHING EACH OTHER FOR NO WORTHWHILE REASON.

How many sets do you want to buy for 800 dollars a set for 67-68 buckets? The guy is high on his seats, lets face it. I dont think telling people that he is to high is bashing, its warning people not to spend that much on seats like that. I think a fair price for a set of factory buckets for the 67-68 is probably 100-300 dollars depending on their shape. I sold a real nice set in Hemmings for 300 dollars, they were red from a low mileage truck. Some people are out of line now days.

I just want to know if the Santa Hat and the set of spark plugs is included in the deal..Then I would think the 800.00 price would be fair...
