I'm Back!!! Got questions?
So I sold my purple 70 fleetside some time back but got the itch again. Im looking at a 70 stepside that is prostreet. Truck is already restored and looks great but my question is what are the good and bads of owning a tubbed c10?

The bad? Look it over closely to make sure it was built right. Driving a tubbed truck in the rain may be dangerous depending on the tires. Wide tires tend to hydroplane.
The good? Cool factor. I was a big fan of the Pro Street movement and anything drag racing related.

Not too many different ways to tub the wheel wells. You just have to watch the frame and emergency brake cables. Here is a thread that might give you a few pointers on what to look for..... http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=736143 LockDoc

Re: I'm Back!!! Got questions?
The good: Great traction in a straight line in dry conditions. Some people still think it's cool.
The bad: Poor traction in the wet conditions. Poor handling on curvy roads(you do live in Western NC). Difficult and expensive to go any other style build if you ever decide. Many people hate the look. Having said all that. If that's what YOU want, and you like how it looks, then go for it. Don't base your decision on what everyone else wants. Get want you want and will be happy with, but know what the intended purpose for the truck is before jumping into something purpose built for one thing. OH, and welcome back!!
