Brake Light Reset ?

Can you guys explain how to get the brake warning light to turn off. I was told it comes on if the pressure in the two separate lines are not equal. I see no leaks and both sides of master are full...thanks

Re: Brake Light Reset ?

Remove the wire from the switch in the distribution block
Remove switch from the distribution block
Pump the brake pedal hard a couple of times
Replace the switch and the wire...

The light should now be off

The switch trips over and locks out the brake circuit that has a pressure loss....check for brake fluid leaks around hoses, wheel cylinders and calipers etc

Hope this helps

Re: Brake Light Reset ?

Remove the wire, it just pulls off

The switch just unscrews...use a box wrench...I think it is 9/16 or 5/8....you may even here the valve click back to center....

Pump the brakes a few times, then reinstall the switch and wire
