I didn't know 6's got a fan shroud at all, but it makes sense if it was an A/C engine. As they say, you learn something new every day.

My friends has one in his 1968 with a L6 250 power glide trans, no AC. We wonder if it had to do with the auto trans. The topic did come up on here a while back, when I was interested in buying one for my L6 and maybe one or two show up but not for sale, it's been a while back . V8 ones as far as I try don't work with a L6 it rubbed the one side.
