seats

has anyone tried to use car buckets like from a camaro , Chevelle , elcamino or something like that ? I realize the track wont just bolt in , but are they close enough that you could use new foam and covers for a truck on the frames ? seems the general used a lot of the same parts for several different things back then and the car stuff is a little cheaper and easier to find at reasonable prices . probably wishful thinking I know , but I have never had a set that I could take apart and compare before

thanks grumpy that's what I was wondering more than anything the size and shape . I thought if they were close maybe you could swap truck foam and covers . I kind of figured if I used them I would have to make platforms for the height .

I saw that thanks . my idea was to see if a factory seat was made that more closely resembles the factory seats that came with these . the factory buckets are so expensive for these trucks even crap that needs a total rebuild

I hear you. That is exactly why I will be looking for something in the junk yard.
