Was in a salvage yard yesterday and this was on the visor. Not familiar with it.

Mine still has the starting procedure sticker on it. Not the 2x4 sticker.

Re: Visor sticker oddity

IF I am reading the SPID correctly, that one had the 350 diesel in it. Probably why the large starting procedure sticker. What clued me was the small square block between and above the speedo/fuel combo. On my CUCV, that has the Wait and Water in Fuel lights.

Pretty sure that is a Doug Nash enterprises sticker. It looks like their logo

Dang, an add on 2 speed auxiliary gearbox would be cool, can you get under it to see if it's still there?

Is that what the floor handle is hooked to? Truck was originally a 2wd long box but now is a short bed? Does that dne sticker mean it had an auxiliary transmission?

The lever on floor does not have a 2wd 4 hi lo on it. Just has the driveline
symbol Did dne convert this to 4wd?

Re: Visor sticker oddity

Kinda makes sense now. Probly Doug Nash or whoever those abbreviations are for a part time kit for the 203.

Ok. Great info. I am working on a 1978 blazer so would be good to grab that stuff.

From what I can tell off of spid that truck that has it should not be 4x4.

Thanks everyone

Re: Visor sticker oddity

SPID indicates the truck was originally 2wd.

(Model CC10903 would decode as a Chevy 2wd 1/2 ton lwb reg cab).

Not much on this truck makes sense. I read somewhere that the shifter knob means something. The knob on this one is the second from the left. The four tires one

Re: Visor sticker oddity

Kinda stupid but I've seen it. Does the VIN on the spid sheet match the VIN of the truck? I found a truck in the junkyard that was a 1/2 ton. Opened glove box hoping the SPID was there, it was, and saw that is had 4.10s. Got all excited cause NEVER seen those gears in a half ton. Well, after I closed the glove box I saw it was a different color. Now in OP it looks like the door is the same color, but just thought id throw that out. But it doesn't make any sense why this truck would be converted to 4wd...
