Tail light/brake light plug re-locate
I believe this plug is for the tail light and brake lights as the wiring is running to the back of the truck. I installed a lokar gas pedal upgrade and the wiring plug is going to have to be re-located.
Is there a common spot for the re-location? Also, is a stepper-drill the best tool to drill the new hole? Thanks for any help. |

I filled that hole and ran mine into the cab in the floor behind the seat. Then spliced in new wire from the under dash plug down the drivers side along side the other wires and covered them over with the carpet.

Re: Tail light/brake light plug re-locate
Why is it in the way? The cable pulls it tight to the wall but in operation the pedal pulls the upper part a way from the wall. You should have plenty of room for the plug.

They should sell the pedal (XBAG-6164) and cable kits (XTC-1000HT) together but they are separate kits. You need both as well as the linkage assembly (XSRK-4000) that mounts on the carb. I will say that the directions that come with each Lokar kit are as good as you will see anywhere this engine & trans swap just keeps growing and growing |

Re: Tail light/brake light plug re-locate
Simply moved the Tail light/brake light plug up and to the left after making that hole a bit bigger.
Then moved the wiring going thru that hole to pass thru the firewall in the same hole as the oil pressure line. Plug on order to fill the hole behind the gas pedal. One day I'll do a body build and clean up the firewall and engine bay. |
